On Monday (Nov. 29), Selena Gomez tweeted the rather harsh, "Kidd I used to look up to you. Talk about me all you want but my mom or my family is crossing the line." Her boyfriend, Justin Bieber, added, "Smooth kid. real smooth smh."

(That's "shaking my head" in tweet-speak.)

Both tweets have since been deleted.

The Kidd they're referring to? Radio DJ Kidd Kraddick, who has interviewed Gomez several times and even uses a photo of himself with her as his twitter photo.

On that morning's show, Kidd made a jab at Selena's pregnant mother, Mandy Teefey. "How weird is that, when you're twenty or however old she is?" he wondered. "Is her mom in like her early forties?... Mom's still in her thirties, that's not unusual." It spurred a debate about whether it's appropriate for women to have babies in their thirties, and with second or third spouses... because apparently women's lib just didn't happen?

One of his fellow jockeys commented, "I don't know if I could date a girl and her mom is pregnant."

Later, Kidd referenced Bieber's fizzled-out paternity scandal, suggesting that his DNA sample may be fraudulent, as his accuser's lawyers weren't present when he submitted it. 

"What if Selena Gomez's mother's not the one that's pregnant, Selena's pregnant and mom's doing a cover-up?" his co-host, Kelly, suggested. "Selena's suddenly going to need to rest and recuperate from this world tour, she's going to go into hiding, mom's going to have a baby bump. Nine months from now, that baby's going to pop out, and she's going to raise that baby to protect Selena's image. Justin Bieber's making babies all over the place."

"What if Justin Bieber got Selena's mom pregnant?" Kidd wonders.

We're rolling our eyeballs so hard they just fell out and went under our desk.

The Beliebers and Selenators (that's "fans" in tweet-speak) were in an uproar all day, and rumors about Kidd's jabs spread like wildfire, with some fans suggesting that he wished an abortion or miscarriage on Selena's mom -- which wasn't true. 

Basically, his comments were unfunny and mean-spirited, but they weren't that terrible. He says that he'll addressed the whole blow-up on his show at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday. In the meantime, listen to the comments that got Selena and Justin so heated up below.
